Ultra rare Mein Kampf book from 1941 that belonged to Franz Ziereis, the former Kommandant of KL Mauthausen, brought back by former inmate!!!

This Mein Kampf has a very interesting story behind. It was taken by one of the prisoners of KL Mauthausen, Czech prisoner named Břetislav Dvořák, after the liberation of the concentration camp. He wrote the story of
the book in one of the first pages with a dedicatory to his brother-in-law. The handwritten text in Czech could be translated as follows: "This book, which has been "brought up" by the German nation of the "kulturlagers" for many years for the "welfare of the world" and which was brought up by millions of others also by our Mauthausen hangmen I "organized" [= it means took, stole - slang] after more than 3 years of imprisonment, from one of the greatest torturers - from Commander Zie(k)reis. I dedicate [this book] to my brother-in-law Ferda".

It's the standard peoples' edition with hard cover and dust cover still preserved, printed in 1941 and with no pages missing and no damage.

Franz Ziereis died after being interrogated by former prisoner in camp and his naked corpse, which was painted with Adolf Hitler's name and swastikas, was later hung on the fence of Gusen I by former prisoners of Gusen( see last photo  )

It is believed that Franz Ziereis himself was responsible of the death of more than 4000 people. Here's further information about the crimes he was charged with:
