One is a kind of trip ticket booklet where the ticket came and still is, and the Reisepass has some entries and information about this woman, along with her photo. This Reisepass was the one this woman wore when travelling in the Wilhelm Gustloff.

Gustloff items, like Titanic items, are really difficult to come across and they are really wanted by maritime catastrophes' collectors, since it has become a myth. Both items are in very good condition, and ticket is named, to this woman who could enjoy a vacations trip from Hamburg to Oslo in June 1939.

The story so far:

MV Wilhelm Gustloff was a German military transport ship that Adolf Hitler ordered to build, which was sunk on 30 January 1945 by Soviet submarine S-13 in the Baltic Sea while evacuating German civilians, Nazi officials and military personnel from Gdynia (Gotenhafen) as the Red Army advanced. By one estimate, 9,400 people died, which makes it the largest loss of life in a single ship sinking in history. Amongst them more than 200 German nurses of the army, babies, children, women and many soldiers.

Constructed as a cruise ship for the Nazi Kraft durch Freude (Strength Through Joy) organisation in 1937, she had been requisitioned by the Kriegsmarine (German navy) in 1939. She served as a hospital ship in 1939 and 1940. She was then assigned as a floating barracks for naval personnel in Gdynia (Gotenhafen) before being put into service to transport evacuees in 1945.

A sad story with almost 10000 dead people!
