Product category:
Military Division:

We offer you the chance to get a very rare propaganda book about the return of the Volksdeutsche or ethnic Germans that lived in the diaspora in Poland, Ukraine and other places: Wolinia, Galizia and Narew regions centuries ago. This return was used by Nazi regime and more exactly by Himmler as a way to gain the support of those Germans that supposedly were mistreated in Poland or Ukraine, where always according to Nazi propaganda, were killed and bated due to the hatred that Poles or Ukrainians had against them, of course always used by the Nazis as a reason to invade those countries in order to save them and protect their citizens. Ethnic Germans, with this welcome by III Reich made them feel protected and part of a great country, that wanted all the Germans that were spread along old Europe be again part of the Great Reich. In this book, "Der Treck" (The long journey), book shows us many great pictures of those families, many of them farmers, who were even greeted by Himmler himself as we can see in one photo. This book was the 1943 edition, and it was published by "Volk und Reich Verlag Berlin", a publisher that belonged and was sponsored by the SS apparatus. Book has softcover, has 86 pages and it's very scarce. Condition is excellent Size 8 1/2" X 9".

Fore-word written by SS-Obergruppenfuhrer Lorenz. Covered wagons are seen heading towards the west. Reichsführer-SS Heinrich Himmler greets arriving families. SS-Obergruppenfuhrer Lorenz visits Lager Waldhorst. Reichsleiter Bouhler visits Lager Kirschberg. The Reichsfrauenfuhrerin Frau Scholtz-Klink visits families. Gauleiter Greiser visits a farm and also reads a welcome letter from the Führer. Not many people know about this whole effort to relocate them, planned by Himmler and under his supervision.
